Preoperative CD52 Level Predicts Graft Survival following Kidney Transplantation

چکیده
Several factors have been reported to affect graft survival following kidney transplantation. CD52 molecules may increase T cell proliferation and activation, which contribute acute rejection survival. In the current study, we studied possible value of preoperative levels in predicting renal Ninety-six patients with end-stage disease who had transplantation were included study from our prospective cohort. Blood samples taken one day before surgery, plasma measured using ELISA (Cloud-Clone Corp., Houston, TX, USA). Bayesian modeling of pretransplant variables accurately predicts kidney graft survival.
INTRODUCTION Machine learning can enable the development of predictive models that incorporate multiple variables for a systems approach to organ allocation. We explored the principle of Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) to determine whether a predictive model of graft survival can be derived using pretransplant variables. Our hypothesis was that pretransplant donor and recipient variables, when co...
متن کاملTwelve-month pancreas graft function significantly influences survival following simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation (SPK) is regarded as the treatment of choice for type 1 diabetes (T1DM) and kidney dysfunction, despite the morbidity associated with pancreas transplantation. These morbidities often influence selection of SPK versus living-donor kidney alone (LD KA) transplant. This study quantifies the impact of pancreas graft function on...
متن کاملKidney transplantation in older adults: does age affect graft survival?
INTRODUCTION There is a paucity of data on long-term patient and graft survival in the older kidney recipients. Our aim was to evaluate the long-term outcomes of kidney transplantation in patients aged 50 years and older and compare them with outcomes in younger recipients. MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty-seven recipients aged 50 years and older and 47 recipients aged younger than 50 years were r...
متن کاملInvestigation of Graft Survival of Kidney Transplantation in Transplant Patients of Shahid Hasheminejad Hospital during 2008-2013 (Iran)
Background and Objectives: Given the advances in treatment and use of new therapies in kidney transplantation, there is always a need to evaluate the survival of graft and patient and to investigate the effect of new therapies. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess the survival rate of kidney graft and patient in patients transplanted in Shahid Hasheminejad hospital during 2008-201...
متن کاملImpact of delayed graft function on renal function and graft survival in deceased kidney transplantation.
OBJECTIVES To define the risk factors for delayed graft function and study the impact of such delays on renal function and long-term allograft survival in renal transplant recipients. DESIGN Single-centre retrospective study. SETTING Regional hospital, Hong Kong. PATIENTS Records of 118 Chinese renal transplant recipients from 1 July 1997 to 31 July 2005 were reviewed, and categorised int...
